Biorhythm SSIN Juice
Biorhythm SSIN Juice is marketed as a workout supplement manufactured by Exclusive Supplements, Inc. To no one’s surprise, the workout supplement market is huge and captures the imagination of people who are striving to improve their health, stamina and appearance. But there are untruths, myths and side effects that could and are dangerous to users. This product comes in different fruit-flavored drink mixes. It is marketed as a pre-workout stamina booster. However, the danger with Biorhythm SSIN Juice is that it contains DMAA. DMAA is a synthetic drug that produces a mild stimulant effect, but can be extremely harmful to users. The product contains “vasodilating” agents that increase blood flow to your muscles by nitroic oxide that is intended to allow a user to increase muscle mass.
On the packaging of Biorhythm SSIN Juice, DMAA is listed as a “geranium stem.” However, it has been shown independently by chemists and others who have analyzed geranium stems that DMAA is not derived from it. In fact, DMAA was synthesized first by drug maker Eli Lilly & Co. 70 years ago.
What is now known about DMAA is that it is an ingredient that has been illegally added to dietary supplements, including Biorhythm SSIN Juice. Although the makers of Biorhythm SSIN Juice market the product as completely natural, DMAA is contained within it and is not natural at all. In addition, DMAA has been found to be having devastating side effects for those who use it.
The FDA warned by letter to Biorhythm SSIN Juice and ten other DMAA product manufacturers that its product narrows the blood vessels and arteries, which increases cardiovascular resistance and frequently leads to elevated blood pressure. The use of these products that contain DMAA can lead to heart attack and death.
The known side effects of using Biorhythm SSIN Juice include elevated blood pressure, respiratory distress, heart attack, cardiac arrest, seizures, neurological and psychological issues and death.
These dietary supplements are dangerous and should be avoided. In case Kreisman Law Offices handled that involved our client’s use a dietary supplement, she used this product for just two months before she was diagnosed with liver failure. Our client required an emergent liver transplant and fortunately survived this very dangerous surgery and transplantation of a vital organ. She will always be monitored for rejection of the liver and must take precautionary medication and will do so for the rest of her young life. she was only 33 years old at the time and mother of three young children.
The FDA was specific when its letter to Biorhythm SSIN Juice contained this strong language as a part of its caution:
“[DMAA in BioRhythm SSIN Juice] narrows the blood vessels and arteries, which increases cardiovascular resistance and frequently leads to elevated blood pressure. This rise in blood pressure may increase the work of the heart such that it could precipitate a cardiovascular event, which could range from shortness of breath to tightening of the chest and/or a possible myocardial infarction (heart attack).”
Anyone who is inclined to seek dietary supplements must be extremely cautious given the risks. Exercise at comfortable levels is important to the general health of most people, but taken to an extreme, coupled with ingesting these dangerous dietary supplement products must be avoided.
