Villa Park is a town located in DuPage County, Illinois, west of the city of Chicago. The town’s website boasts that Villa Park is an "inner" western suburb of Chicago. The website states that Villa Park has the best of both worlds - direct access to downtown Chicago as well as to the rest of the western suburbs. It is located 19 miles directly west of the downtown Chicago Loop.

According to the town’s website, Addison Trail was ranked at 1,454, and Willowbrook was ranked at 1,608 out of 22,000 schools nationally.
Out of 672 Illinois high schools, Addison Trail was ranked at 54, and Willowbrook was ranked at 58, placing both schools in the top 8 percent in Illinois. The area has two school districts: District 45 and District 48, which include three middle schools and seven elementary schools.
The first homes were built in a subdivision in what is now called Villa Park in 1908; another subdivision was called Ardmore in 1910. Villa Park was incorporated in 1914 by uniting the two subdivisions, which then included about 300 people. The community grew quickly in part because of the Chicago Aurora and Elgin Railroad. Villa Park was home to the Ovaltine chocolate factory until it closed in 1988. The Ovaltine facility has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The old factory has since been converted into loft apartments.
