Flossmoor is a village in south suburban Cook County, Illinois. The area is known for architectural variety, quality of homes, country clubs and public art. The city’s first country club was founded in 1899, making it one of the first such clubs in the Midwest.

Parker Junior High, and one high school, Homewood-Flossmoor (HF). The schools of District 161 and District 233 are three-time winners of the Educational Blue Ribbon Award for Excellence.
Flossmoor also has one Catholic elementary school, Infant Jesus Prague School, which is the only Roman Catholic school in the area. The nearest colleges are Prairie State College and South Suburban College According to the U.S. census, the population in 2012 was 9,512. The median age was 45.
